She will be serving in China until the summer of 2004. This is from a recent message from June about her activities: I am doing fine here and as far as I know there aren't any official SARS cases here in Luoyang. Life is pretty much back to normal around here but I don't think people are traveling as much as before. We still must wear a school pin in order to enter the school campus and the May 1st holiday was canceled. I did hear a rumor that maybe we will get out early at the end of this semester. Right now I am teaching 12 periods of oral English and being tutored in Chinese for 6 periods. Most of my students are graduate students. I do have one class of Business Dept. teachers. My tutor is familiar with my culture having visited the US for a year and half. She spent a half year in Harrisonburg and even had a chance to meet some of my family. I am enjoying my experience here very much. One thing that makes this experience exciting is that there is a family here with me. The family is also with CEE. They are Nate and Bekki Siemens and their children Elias and Christabel. It is nice being around kids.
